Affiliate Disclosure
Short version: Some links on StormWatts go through addresses like stormwatts.com/go/ecoflow. Right now none of them are affiliate links. They send you straight to the brand’s official page with no tracking. We plan to join brand affiliate programs, and once we do, those links may earn us a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you.
What that means
- Why the /go/ links exist. They let us keep every outbound brand link in one place. When a program approves us, we can swap in an affiliate link without editing every page, and the page disclosures will be updated at the same time.
- It costs you nothing extra. Affiliate commissions are paid by the brand. Your price is the same either way.
- Disclosures are near the top of the page. Any page with /go/ links shows a disclosure before the first one.
- Commissions won’t buy recommendations. Our calculators and comparisons use published specs and stated assumptions. A brand can’t pay for a better result, and we’ll say when a smaller, cheaper unit (or no power station at all) is the better fit.
- Not every link is a /go/ link. Links to manuals, spec pages we cite as sources, and government resources go directly to those sites.
Why we disclose
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission expects material connections such as affiliate commissions to be disclosed clearly and close to the recommendation. See the FTC’s Disclosures 101 and its Endorsement Guides FAQ.
